Overview

Tour guide will take you from your hotel and head North. First stop one hour away is the Zhinvali Reservoir which was built in 1986, used to supplement the electricity needs of the people. You can wear a traditional hat and Georgian gilet made from wool and take pictures. Duration 10 minutes.

About 20 minutes away is the next stop Ananuri Castle. The castle built for the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi in the 17th century.

Next stop is the Black and White Aragvi River, which is a river with two different colors of water one coming from the village and one from the mountains. It is usually more visible when the water is high and after the rains.

About 45 minutes, we will reach the Russian-Georgian Friendship monument, we proceed to the ski resort, Gudauri. In winter we spend time riding the cable cars, ski lifts, paragliding, skiing, snowboarding, snow mobile until 4PM where we prepare to head back to Tbilisi.

In summer, we go straight to Stepantsminda and stop a for about 15 minutes for the terrace view of Gergeti church. The vans will climb up next to the Gergeti church and for about 30 minutes you can spend time looking out the whole town of Stepantsminda.
